I was watching Fame, enjoying Kherington Payne and Anna Maria Perez de Tagle’s performances but during the non-dancing segments, I tended to surf the ‘Net and look up the other actors in the movie and generally follow the links from IMDB.com.
I learned that Kherington Payne, whom I recognize from a past season of So You Think You Can Dance, joined the Pussycat Dolls in May this year when 80% of the group–that is, all the dancers except Nicole Scherzinger–was replayed.
That’s great news, although I am not the sort who watches music videos much and I might start making a point.
So I looked up who else made the PCD troupe and came across an interesting name: Rino Nakasone Razalan.
Rino’s former claim to fame is as a Harajuku dancer, a backup dancer for Gwen Stefani. Her stage name was “Music”. And the coolest thing is that, like Nicole Scherzinger, she’s not a spring chicken and was born in 1979. Still, she brings it on.
